Siddhanth Deshpande works at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as an Engineering Manager. His current focus is building and democratizing best-in-class AI/ML features and tooling for AWS customers at scale. Prior to his current role, Siddhanth had over a decade of experience at AWS, as an Engineering Lead. He's led and participated in the design, development and operations of many groundbreaking web services, in domains including messaging fanout (Amazon SQS/SNS), digital user engagement - targeting/segmentation/analytics (Amazon Pinpoint), cloud compute (Amazon EC2), machine learning (Amazon SageMaker) and infrastructure automation. He's also a domain expert within AWS for topics including operational excellence, AWS region builds and strong security postures.



He is passionate about creating innovative technologies which generate business value for his customers (many of whom are Fortune 100 companies), and which create long-term benefits for our community. Before AWS, Siddhanth completed an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA, with a focus on wireless/mobile networks and computer vision. In his free time, you can find him reading, hiking, gardening, or trying incrementally more complex DIY activities to spruce up his home.
